thought DS was just DS we did not relize there were different types ,,well

anyway shes buitifull and she is getting clever every day shes still very tiny

,Can i ask has anyone been in touch asking if there child having shorter legs

than normal i dont like to sound awfull ,,As our tia just looks short leg to her

body , Our consultant had never met a MDS child out of all children he has seen

,We live in the UK it was only through a blood test we were told she has  2

3rds

as she does not have the  signs of DS  only slight in the eyes thats why when

she were born by c section it was me who knew everyone kept telling me they were

nothing wrong with her as she was just like a normal new born but i knew as i

saw her eyes but she dont even have that look anymore ,,im really glad i can

Hi Marit!

Welcome to the group! My name is Tacia and my daughter Olivia is a little over

one year old (her birthday was St. 's Day). She was diagnosed with MDS at

birth. We are so grateful that she did not have any physical issues, i.e. heart

or hearing. We have seen some developmental delays, but she sees an OT and an EI

every week and is coming along fabulously! She is crawling and wants to walk so

badly :) (still no teeth however!)

How old is your son? How is he doing? This is a great group and I have learned

so much from all of the mom's and dad's here. I hope you and your son and family

are doing well!

Tacia

My daughter was just diagnosed w/ MDS 2 weeks ago (she is 5m old) and we

are trying to find all of the info we can to help her

and also to help us down this new & different path.

Welcome to our group.  We will be glad to give advise or support or just

listen.  We are a very friendly group so please ask any questions you may have.

Also tell us a little more about your family.  What are your names?  Where do

Hi,

Thanks for posting the welcome!

My daughter Lily was just diagnosed with Mosaic Down Syndrome about 3 weeks ago

now (she is 5 months old). We have gone through the initial appointments with

the geneticist, the cardiologist, the opthamologist, etc. and she will have her

EI evaluation in a few weeks.

Lily has a twin brother and an almost 3-yr old brother as well. We are located

in land.

Thanks!

My name is  and our 14 month old son was recently diagnosed with MDS

also. We don't know a whole lot about the condition yet, but this group of

ladies has been an invaluable source of information and support for me! I'm a

young mom also (24), and I am full of questions, and these moms are full of

answers. :) So glad you decided to join us!
