This Sunday Heart & Soul Community Beach Party

Hello Beautiful People,

Last Saturday I went to Long beach with a few friends. Around 6pm I put on my iPod to go for a walk. I played the song Feelin So Real by Moby. As soon as I did the music made me want to move so I decided to run. Being honest w/myself I really wanted to dance instead of run. So I did right on the shore facing the ocean. I danced full out. It was so liberating. Not caring who saw me just allowing myself to be totally in the moment listening to my hearts desire to move and express itself.

Some people smiled as they passed by but I was not really paying attention to them. I was immersed in the joy of my dance and the power of the ocean & the sun totally energizing & inspiring my dance.

The Rolling Stones song Emotional Rescue was the next song on my play list. Gotta love Mick Jagger- he can make anyone feel sexy I danced for about a half hour allowing myself to dance my heart out and play with the ocean. Umm it felt so good. Dancing your heart out on the beach is definitely something to put on your bucket list. LOL

This Sunday I invite you all to a free community beach party on Long Beach, Long Island. We will boogie board, swim, connect and play beach volleyball. Long Beach is only an hour train ride on the LIRR out of Penn Station. If you dare I invite you to bring your iPod and dance with me in the early evening- liberating yourself, dancing your prayers with the sun and the ocean becoming one! :-) Maybe a few of you can bring drums so we won’t need iPods :-)

Below I have listed some other wonderful events! Labor Day weekend I will be facilitating a JourneyDance at the Evolve Music & Yoga Festival in Vernon, NJ. My friend Dave Bryson has been organizing this amazing festival for the past 4 years. It has been getting rave reviews from such renowned publications as Yoga Journal. Get your tickets now.

Long Beach, Long Island

(only a 50 min train ride from NYC on the LIRR)

What better way to spend the day then connecting with a conscious vibrant community celebrating at the beach together swimming. boogie boarding, and playing beach volleyball.

Long Beach, Long Island is the easiest beach to get to from NYC that has great waves and beach volleyball. Come with friends or come solo and leave w/new friends!

The weather forecast is saying sunny and 80º for Sunday.

Travel info- Catch the 10:45am LIRR Long Beach train from Penn Station it gets you there @ 11:42. Or if you’re a late riser you can catch 11:45 or 12:45 train if you wish to and arrive later. Make sure to get to Penn a few minutes early to purchase a ticket. Make sure you purchase a round trip beach package ticket. This will cost you $19. round trip and will include a beach pass to enter the beach. Otherwise you will need to pay $12. to get on the beach when you get there. Purchasing the beach package ticket saves you $8.

Trains also run out of: Jamaica, Flatbush and Long Is City for these train schedules plz look online.

Directions from the train- Turn right out of LIRR station onto West Park Ave for 1 block then make your first left onto National Blvd. Once on National Blvd walk about 5 blocks to the end and you will come to the beach. Enter the beach below the boardwalk. Then once on the beach walk to the right and we will be to the left of the first big lifeguard mound you come to. We will be towards the back right next to the lifeguard sand mound. Look for my navy blue boogie board. :-)

Plz bring some food/fruit to share. Long Beach has many restaurants and stores once you get off the train. Bring a drum if you have one. However, drum at your own risk as it is not allowed on the beach, but I figure we can later in the day until they ask us to stop :-)
