Guest guest
Hi I've been following the posts recently and mentions of depression, etc. My son is 11 now and has been seeing a DAN doctor/bio-medic doctors since he was 5. We take blood, hair, urine, saliva samples periodically and have noticed stress levels are heightened and serotonin levels are low. Lithium might be low too. The doctor says it might be that his body is not able to produce enough serotonin. I wonder if it's the make up of MDS that's the cause. Just a thought. Hmmm. Lina Chaisson ( 11 MDS) Sent from my iPhone Can I ask: " how old is she?? " I'm curious about something. Subject: Re: Hooks To: MosaicDS Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 4:28 PM , Also again, her fake stroke symptoms, make it hard for us to trust her. I also have a really hard time believing anything my sister says when she says something hurts or acts like there is something wrong because a lot of times she has been so dramatic just to get attention but she's actually fine. Cheryl Harduby Hooks Hello my name is " J " and my husband and I are seeking info/support in advocating for my 32 yr old sister-in-law. My in-laws were never given a formal diagnosis (possibly due to a bit of denial?) and she struggled through life undiagnosed and without support of a community that I believe would bring a much needed support system to my in-laws. She and her husband are living at home with her parents (my in-laws) she is pregnant with her second child. She has issues with habitual lying and for the past year and a half, been faking symptoms i.e. stroke, partial paralysis. seizures, for attention and I believe as a response to stress since the birth of her daughter. I have recently read that MDS can involve epilepsy, but when her episodes correlate with confrontation, boredom, and only ever happen only in the presence of her husband, all tests come back negative, and the on again/off again limping and slurred speech, we are quite sure she doesn't have epilepsy. She had a recent EEG? sleep deprivation 2 hr test, videoed which came back normal. She wants a second opinion:) We are desperate to have her get help. She has not been herself since her first pregnancy as far as interaction and level of joy. She is so obviously acting out, poor thing probably feels so lost, she has never been told any truth to her make-up. Anyway, I would love to learn more, and am specifically looking how to get her connected to a Dr that could formally diagnose to her as an adult. I feel we are at a stand still till that happens. Thank you J
Guest guest
<<mentions of depression>> She has been told to pursue psych for depression, but refused. With her faking symptoms, being a mother now, My husband and I are antsy to get her to the Dr. for evaluation and treatment/therapy. I am afraid someone might fear she is unfit to be around her children. She for one reason or another goes to ER about twice a month with her " symptoms " they admit her and run a battery of tests (strokes, seizures, MS..) all come back normal. I'm sure they know her by name by now. ________________________________ To: " MosaicDS " <MosaicDS > Sent: Wed, May 26, 2010 10:56:35 AM Subject: Re:  Hi I've been following the posts recently and mentions of depression, etc. My son is 11 now and has been seeing a DAN doctor/bio-medic doctors since he was 5.
