Guest guest
I got Myagia X from one of the health food stores and it is for fibro a vitamin and helps a lot. You might want to try that. Val For the past two weeks my neck has been extremely knotted up and whenever I roll over in bed at night I pull another muscle in my neck. Does anybody know what vitamins or supplements I can take for this specific problem. Sadly, so far only Vicodin and Naproxen seem to help. Many thanks! Kat -- No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Kat, I don't want to scare you... but I was taking Naproxen for about 1 year when the big Celebrex scare took place. They found brain scars after an MRI, and said it looked like mini-strokes. That scared me awary from Naproxen, just because I heard they were similar to Celebrex. Just be careful taking all meds... side effects can be worse than the problem they're meant to treat. Guest guest
Naproxen is totally different from Celebrex. But Vioxx is much like Celebrex. Celebrex is what caused me to get extremely severe Fibro 6 years ago. Dropped to my knees over just 4 day's time. Stay away from that stuff. I am blessed to be pain-free as long as I stay on treatment. Anne www.FibroFix.com Tells all we know about reversing Fibro symptoms. Merry Christmas Re: My Neck is Killing Me! Guest guest
This is why I was asking for alternative suggestions. Guest guest
I posted my first post today.. I'm the one with the infrared sauna.. My name is Elaine.. This is the only alternative treatment I've been able to tolerate.. It doesn't involve taking any drugs... Re: My Neck is Killing Me! This is why I was asking for alternative suggestions. Guest guest
Thank you, Anne! I've been meaning to check out your link for the longest time. Thanks for the reminder! (Note to self: Noooooo Celebrex....) Guest guest
Ladies.......Ladies................ You have to think about this. Every medication works differently in different people. YOU have to try it and see how it works for you. A couple years ago, people told me how good Celexa was, I took it one night and flew through my bedroom, out the window, and back in again! Needless to say I did not take a second dose. What doesn't work for one may be a " Godsend " to another. Butch Kat wrote: > > Thank you, Anne! Guest guest
Agreed, Butch. However, in my idea of the perfect world I wouldn't have to take ANY of the pharmaceutical crap and just go in a more natural direction. I hope the window was open. Guest guest
Butch, your experience with Celexa sounds something like my experience with Methylprednisolone. It was like I was Ms Packman from the video game. Little colored capsules were traveling on a full screen display in my head. Oh, my gosh. What a ride. We call it " Leave That Mess Alone " now. I am so thankful that I don't have to take all kinds of pain and other scary meds. Just the few basics it takes to keep all the clear fluids moving correctly. Annie Re: Re: My Neck is Killing Me! Guest guest
Butch, You are so right! I have taken a lot of medications on a trial basis for about 20 yrs now till I found the right combination to help me. I've even had some work for two months real good and thought things would go well to only find out they would quit working and I would have to try something else. Ibuprofen has been a blessing combined with other meds but when I took it 10 years ago it helped but gave me all kinds of other problems. Taking it with Nexium stops the acidity and ulcers in the stomach which it is known for. Some meds you just have to work around till you can make them work for you.
