Guest guest Posted December 9, 2004 Report Share Posted December 9, 2004 Hi everyone...well now the bronchitis has gone and guess what I am sitting here amongst the humidity (boy what storms we have had the past 3 days)with a scarfe around my throat...so sore, cant swallow only sip water...what is next? anyone got any remedies for someone who cant gargle????? hugs Lee Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Guest guest Posted December 9, 2004 Report Share Posted December 9, 2004 Hi Lee this is again where the honey and ginger tea comes in, even for a sore throat( really sore throat) You will probably get an ear infection, with a really bad throat if you don,t get to it ASAP. Again the warm spud water, is a preventative. We ( my son and I also sometimes put a few drops of eucalyptus oil on a spoon of sugar or honey, great for burning sore throat. But really again once you can tolerate sips, potato water, really thich mushy spud water, does have great curative effects, can add something to it. Oh you poor girl, you have had a bad run, the wretched storms have really pushed the humidity up hasn,t it. It is absolutely draining every inch of energy out of me. But many in my group, have been so lethargic, they have collapsed. it is through the steamy tropical weather. very unpredictable weather, seems to be same all over the world though doesn,t it? Guest guest Posted December 10, 2004 Report Share Posted December 10, 2004 Hi Lee, I know you said you cant gargle but I've used that iodine for sore throats and gargled it every half hour for hours and cured many a sore throat with it--its expensive but i make up just a tiny bit at a time--good luck--Del what next???? Guest guest Posted December 10, 2004 Report Share Posted December 10, 2004 I was on antibiotics for my chest infection so I think I have either pharyngitis( which I always get) or could be thrush cos my throat was so sticky with the chest infection maybe my inhaler didnt get through and got stuck in my throat which can happen apparently...thankyou for your concern, its great to know there are poeple out there who are so caring.......hugs Lee...australia Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!
