Guest guest
In my opinion, if you need it two hourly, you need to seek medical attention. When acute, or difficulty breathing you can take it 2 hrly. I was 2 hrly for almost 2 months , when had an acute attack. Sandy
Guest guest
June, if I have to have Ventolin via nebuliser, I have it mixed with Atrovent. The latter makes Ventolin more effective. (Don’t ask me how, I have nooooo idea!) Oh, BTW everyone, that new website I’ve been working on is now live. Some pages are still under construction, but you’ll get an idea of what it’s all about: www.authorsunlimited.net Cheryl ---------------------------------------------------------------- Cheryl , Award Winning Australian Author http://www.cheryl-wright.com http://www.savingemma.com http://www.writer2writer.com http://www.authorsunlimited.net - check us out! Makes my heart race if I overdo it, I have Atrovent too which they proved at the Brompton is actually more effective than Ventolin for me. Guest guest
Hi Del, all times I was on 2 hrly ventolin nebs, I was under constant care of Drs. But not needing that with puffer, as it is part of my asthma plan, and have been told its fine, as long as I am only using it cos breathing is difficult. I see my GP every week, and have everything checked at every visit. Some days I only need puffer twice a day, but generally when rushing around its more likely to be at least 4 times a day. Nebuliser, only use that about twicw a year now, and thats if I feel, I have something there I just cannot move, with heat etc. Everyone with asthma should have a plan, and it can be varied by doctot if necessary over the phone too in some circumstances, especially if you do have a plan, as the doctor and others treating you are there to advise. Guest guest
Hi June ventolin does usually make the heart race a bit, but should settle within 10 minutes. Atrovent should only be given 2-3 times a day, as it lasts in the system 8 hrs, and yes its great as it is the strongest and works in a different way, generally you wouldn,t take atrovent unless you also take ventolin etc also. not necessarily at the same time though, just like saline nebs, they help the others work better and get them into you easier and without the stifling feeling, Hope you are still doing well, think of you every day.
