June, you are

very, very welcome. That’s what friends are for – to support each

other.

I’m glad

you went to the hospital and got treatment. Did you do a profile of this sexy French

doctor, for me to use in a story? I’m damned sure I would have, it I’d

been there. Lol

Lack of sleep is

a major bummer. Try to doze through the day and catch up on some zzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s.

It will help enormously.

Cheryl

from Hospital

Just

to let you know I had to dash to casualty (ER) this afternoon as I was having

breathing

problems again. Got an ear infection, sinus infection -the cause of the face

pain, not

shingles thank goodness. Chest infection too just for a complete set,was

treated by a

very sweet and sexy Frenchman so not a bad afternoon after all. Had a

cortisone

injection which has made me breathe better but no drip and not admitted,

hooray.

Just want to

say a special thank you to Cheryl, who chatted to me during the night

(in London)

I couldn't sleep as I was so bad and Cheryl was the only person on line.

It's very

lonely at night when you are ill as you all know and it helps to have a friend

out there.

Thank you Cheryl for being there in my hour of need, hopefully tonight the

injection

will make me sleep, I'm shattered.

Speak to you

all tomorrow

Love June

hi june, i'm pleased you went to the hospital but

sorry you were forced into it by your lungs shouting

for help.

i hope you'll have a wonderfully refreshing sleep

tonight and be ready for tomorrow with lots of tea and

fluids on hand and maybe a good magazine or book and

take it easy while your body recovers.

then.........you can get psyched for your trip to the

brompton...........and then........they'll really get

to the bottom of all of this and your new improved

life can really begin.

we'll all come over tomorrow and have a laugh together

and bring lunch!how does that sound?

having a friend to chat with certainly helps when you

feel ill and lonely and sometimes scared too, so i'm

so pleased that cheryl was that friend.

that's the joy~one of them~of this cyber family, we're

all in different time zones so there's usually someone

'out there' when we need each other.

Morning Cheryl and everyone

Managed to sleep for 6 hours punctuated with 2 lots of nebulisers.

Still finding it hard to breathe and feel as if I have been run over

but I always get like that after a bad attack. Tearful as well, guess

episodes like that remind me of how vulnerable I am. Intend to take it

very easy today, just a little computer work and that's it.

Once again Cheryl, you are a good friend and I appreciate it

Thank you for your good wishes

how right you are about having the support of this group. Only those

who have been through the trials of Bronch can really understand the

emotional rollercoaster of being well one minute and very sick the

next. I am determined not to let this latest episode put me down. The

hospital said the main problem was the chest infection, as always.

Not sure how I deal with this, it started as an ear infection. Have

tried to boost my immune system and generally don't get anything that

isn't ENT based. I think I need to be more aggressive in stopping the

infection before it gets to the chest. I guess that means Prednisolone

before I get really sick. The more I go on the more I realise it is a

big balancing act and a very complex disease. We all seem to have our

own special problems, like me with my asthma,Chery'ls immune system, a

lot of people with sinus problems and poor Sandy with every problem

under the sun.

Lunch together would be wonderful wouldn't it, imagine us all sitting

round together, when I win the lottery we will do it!! What I'd love

right now is some of your soft ocean breezes, I always like

that at the bottom of your post. I adore the Ocean, the sound and

smell. If I'm having a bad patch I imagine I am on the beach of St

Lucia, one of my favourite places, and walking in the clear warm water,

my idea of heaven.

Much love to everyone June

Thanks Elaine, appreciate all the good wishes fro you all. Feel so week

this morning, no energy at all.

I am relieved it wasn't shingles, I have never had such bad pain from

an ear infection.

Sounds like you are bad yourself, a recliner is a good idea, I cannot

lie flat for long without feeling bad but cannot sleep propped up. We

have a big reclining armchair, maybe I'll try and doze in that today.

Take care Love June

Hi June, sorry to learn about your recent trauma and infections .. thank

goodness it wasn't shingles after all. Keep up with the lots of rest

and give your body a chance to recover and recuperate. Know what it's

like not to get much sleep .. spent 5 hours in the recliner last night

cough, cough, coughing. Hope you are soon on the road to recovery.

We are all indebted to Cheryl and others in the group who share their

wisdom so generously.

Get well!

hi june,

roger and i loved st.lucia too.

we had friends in ontario who owned a banana

plantation there~they used to live there but left for

their children to be educated.

they asked us to deliver a parcel to one of their

relatives in st.lucia~well, that led to amazing

experiences there.........we were invited to a yacht

club for a barbecue and met some great people and were

taken to a lagoon where we had a picnic and swam with

flying fish!!!! awesome!

as you said bronch. is a serious disease and everyone

has different 'add ons' that complicate it.......roger

has emphysema so that makes it very serious.

have a good rest and take lots of walks with me along

the beach.........i love the sound of the waves too

and the smell and then we have the mountains as a

backdrop.......it's incredibly beautiful.

love

jennifer

Here , here , its a wondeful cyber family we have.

And for June to get all psyched up for Brompton, sound s good too.

As you say we are all in different time zones, so there usually is someone

out there who can either email, or at least read whats there.

I feel a bit disadvantaged at the moment, as my computer is here in my home,

and I sleep and spend most of the awful times( night, unwell, lonely etc) at

the chaps that I care for.

I feel really lost at night time, as once I get them bedded down etc, I

normally( if home) would get on the computer and chat or email with the

group.

I cannot afford to put another line in at the old chaps place, and I

couldn,t possibly pay another internet ( broadband, dial fee ).

I am asking around, to see if there is a way, I can split the costs/

service, like an intranet.

But being so busy, I seem to get the people I need either gone home, or at

lunch, at the only time I have to try and work something out.

I can get another cheap computer, I have a very ancient lap top, but getting

anothe r server etc, is just so costly.

Oh well, I do still get a chance to get a little emails in, but at the most

in opportune times for me, and always rushed, to open and reply.

So I guess I will just have to hope my emails do get through, at the awkward

times I send them.

A trip to your little paradise sounds really good at the moment.

I keep going back to the photos you posted me, gee they have saved my sanity

lately.

Hugs, and thanks for all the support you give us all,

Sandy

Elaine, thats where I have been sleeping the last 3 nights, in one of the

old chaps I,m caring for,s recliner.

I get them to bed, then try to sneak back and just sit in the recliner, with

the vibrator on, just to help me unwind, I havent, had a good sleep for

about 2 weeks now.

However, I generally get caught, as one or the other wakes and yells out I,m

sure I can hear someone up, could you check Sandy?

I cannot put the tele on, as it is too close to their rooms, but just

sitting there is fine as long as it lasts.

Sleeplessness is terrible, as you do feel so rundown, before you start in

the morning.

I agree, we are a lucky lot in this group, as we have so many caring( truly

caring) friends, who are thinking of each other, and are so supportive.

Hope you too feel better soon, and get a few good hours sleep.

Sandy

Hello June, again just to let you know, that the lottery is just what (we

the doctors in the group, we are pretty good at doctoring) ordered, I just

emailed jennifer, and said what a wonderful day that would be, lots of us

sharing a day, in her bit of paradise, a picnic, a swim, a walk, all at our

own pace.

Nothing flash, just real, serene, and what great company.

I, have been trying to picture it for a day or 2 now.

It could happen, just one big windfall.

Hugs,Sandy
