Guest guest
Hi,I'm sorry that you're having such difficulties.I do not have any experience with the PROS program. However, I can tell you that I went back to school for a 2nd master's degree in social work because I needed a career change and something more marketable, respected, and portable. Know that getting an LCSW in NYS is very difficult because the job possibilities that allow for clinical hours to accumulate are narrow, just like for newly-graduated CATs. (Can you use your job site to get fieldwork experience?) With 2 master's degrees, I couldn't find a job as an LMSW. So, I asked the Creator " Where do You need me? " I ended up teaching high-school English with 29 years of geriatric experience. Go figure: man proposes and G-d disposes. (I did get some FFS work as a social worker through 2 home-care agencies.) Regarding your student loans, have you considered a consolidation program through the federal government (dl.ed.gov)? I consolidated and got a fixed rate rather than a variable rate that was lower than some of my previous loans. Also, I cut my required payment in half by applying for the income-based repayment program. Additionally, the representative told me that there are loan-forgiveness programs for persons working in public-service areas. After 10 years, s/he can have the balance of his/her loans forgiven. That balance, however, may be counted as taxable income. Around this time of year, there are energetic shifts, and, perhaps, it's a good time to, literally, tune in to your spirit and address it's calling. For myself, I find that some musical improvisation or putting on some rhythmic music and dancing even for a few minutes helps shift me out of a funk. I bless you with peace, clarity, and joy.-- Shoshana AverbachMSW, LMSW, MA, MT-BC, LCAT, Accredited Healerhealingnotes.com
