Guest guest Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 Well, after the fiasco we had with trying to get 's test to see if he does indeed have MDS done, I will be taking him in to get a new blood draw done tomorrow (Friday) and HOPEFULLY, the lab will have their stuff together enough to get the job done right this time! I have a paper copy of the order in hand and it was faxed in as well. I will be making them tell me exactly what they are testing to be sure they have it right and I will also not let anyone but a pediatric nurse touch him so he will only have to be stuck ONCE instead of 3 times. The pediatrician's nurse told me that she also asked about the turn around time on this and they said that it is 5 -7 days so I'm hoping to know something this time next week! They are doing a Chromosome Analysis with FISH and they ARE testing 500 cells as per the ped's order. Finally, I will know for sure one way or the other. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers please! Now comes the waiting...
