Guest guest
Hi June, At one time someone from our group did contact Kathy Lee Gifford after her father died, but she replied that she was too busy with the Casidy House for kids. She has a few things going that she does for kids. Maybe things have changed and she is in a better place in her daily life, she may have been too overwhelmed then with the death of her father and maybe she can handle it now. It could be worth a try. I think contacted her. I can't really remember who, but maybe it was . I remember there was a Kathy Lee Gifford Website and she had some things on there about Lewy Body Dementia. might know. Re: Oprah/OT I heard on TV this morning that Oprah is losing lots of viewers/listeners/ magazine readers. She alienated many white, older women when she endorsed Obama, and I thought she was a little condescending to Barbara Walters when she was on the show. What about Kathy Gifford in her new segement of the " Today " show, which comes on later in the morning? Her father had LBD, so perhaps she might do something. Right now on " Today " they are interviewing sportscaster Jim Nance about the book " Always by My Side, " which is about his father in the end stages of AD. Sounds as if it is a good book, which I might try to get from the library. Guest guest
I didn't contact Kathy Lee Gifford but provided her name to the list that I sent to the Oprah show as famous faces who have/had LBD (her father, not her.) She does have a page for LBDA on her site - but the address is wrong - I've emailed them time & time again, but noone changes it. LBDA has contacted them too... http://www.kathieleegifford.com/lamb04/charity/lbd.php Donna thought the letter sent to Oprah should be tweaked for Dr. Phil - could do that... wouldn't hurt... should also send a tweaked letter to Reader's Digest... Any other suggestions? PS - wanted to share that I made a Listmania on Amazon w/ Lewy related books. So when you go into Amazon and just type 'lewy', on the left the Listmania pops up. Cool. http://tinyurl.com/6xy6ay > > Hi June, > At one time someone from our group did contact Kathy Lee Gifford after her father died, but she replied that she was too busy with the Casidy House for kids.
