A listmate posted that Lauricidin should not be given with enzymes.

(lipase I believe-or does the type enzyme matter??). This particular

child has to have full enzyme with any food or gets major GI

problems. Many others are in same situation. Since this supplement is

recommended to be taken with food, it is a problem for these children.

Dr. Kabara's reply:

Again, I would give him the Lauricidin® and hour before or after the

enzymes.

, ====are changes created by the enzymes a concern and what exactly

are those changes?? Please help us understand the implications, if

any.

Dr. Kabara's reply:

The changes could involve changing the ester too the acid form which

may be irritating

If it cannot be taken without enzymes, is it recommended not to take

Lauricidin???

Dr. Kabara's reply:

NO!

Are there safety concerns with taking them together or does it have

the capability to create issues with other supplements or affect

their efficacy if taken together??

Dr. Kabara's reply:

DOES NOT involve safety issues or contraindications with other

supplements/drugs.

Would this also be a concern with Monolaurin if you are aware or is

it only a concern with Lauricidin???

Dr. Kabara's reply:

Lauricidin® is the purest cheapest monolaurin available. Also, no one

has more experience than I with this compound.

It is well to remember that " one size does not fit all " Parents are

the best " docs " when it come to their children.

Please let me know how well this helps and if you need more

clarification.

Dr. Jon
