Guest guest
Last week I found out about these stipulations on supervision. I was supposed to meet with a CAT working towards licensure that week but cancelled that and advised her of what was going on to the best of my knowledge. Her supervisor has been aware that she was getting supervision outside of the agency in order for her to get her LCAT. They were not paying me. I was not meeting with and assessing her clients (which I'm not sure how one could find the time to do that if working full-time). How do I find out what the possible fall-out of my supposed ethical violation without " turning myself in " ? My supervisee acquired many hours through me. I can't believe she could lose those hours. And I am equally rankled that my license could be revoked. Should I wait for the ax to fall when she completes the LCAT application? Should I be proactive and nip this in the bud now? The legislation is confusing and it's not incredibly forthright. You should be able to look at the guildines required for supervision on the creative art therapy OOP website rather than just seeing the bare ones of it and that it only applies to LCATS working at the same agency with their supervisee. How often does that happen? Not very.
