Guest guest
I sure am sorry choover37, That was hard on all of you, and I know how it feels, so yes, I am sorry. I have heard of rapid declines in LBD patients that have been given the wrong medications. I call it a downhill spiral of no recovery. There is a medical term for it. Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. What were the medications Jo Ann had been taking? We would have a better idea whether it was due to Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome or not. Her actions certainly points to that direction. By the way what is your name? Love a lot it helps all around, Imogene Caregiver for my true Texas Gentleman Husband of 37 years. First diagnosed with Alzheimer's by a Neurologist OCT, 2005. But, on May 2, 2006 Dr. Schillerstrom, Geriatric/Psychiatrist diagnosed LBD with Parkinsonism. My precious husband, Don, is taking Zoloft and Razadyne. A happy personality is contagious. A swallow study showed there was not a physical problem.. My mom became unable to walk the first week of March and over the next few weeks became more amd more confused. During the month of March and until April 11, her death, she showed every sign of LBD. Including the blood preesure swings and irregular heart beat which resulted in her death from hear attack. Has anyone else seen such a fast progress ? After we got the diagnosis the doctors did not say anything of such a short life span.. My Mother was extreemly educated with many degrees. Not to mention a wonder mom , grand ma and great gradma (but only for a few weeks) Thanks for any help **************Need a new ride?
