(unknown) Hello, I am a new poster, but this topic piqued my interest. The Office of the Professions is VERY slow. It took me 16 months to get my license, and this was with calling and emailing them every week, sometimes multiple times. About two months ago, they were 3 months backlogged. The number I finally had a bit of luck with was , ex. 592 or ext. 450 (this is the board office). They also referred me to Dr. Hamilton. His info is on the website with the licensure information. This email address was also helpful: OPUNIT5MAIL (DOT) NYSED.GOV. Best of luck. It is an extremely frustrating process. A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! I wish you well in your development as an art therapist.Be well,Lois My name is a Casey and I am a 20 year old student at the New School for art therapy. I will not be taking classes next semester because I want to put what I have learned in class to use in the world. I have only taken two art therapy courses (both introductory), but I have also been an art therapy patient in the past. I want to pursue my dream of being an art therapist because I love the mind and I love art. I am emailing you because I was wondering if I could intern with you? By doing the smallest tasks in an actual art therapy setting would really help me get a better understanding of the job. I am volunteering with The Art of Elysium (http://www.theartofelysium.org/) some days of the week and the others I would like be interning. If you could help me out in any way please let me know.
