LOL, Jo !! That happened to my sis, with a 20 !! She got it back, washed

it, put it in a baggie and took it to the bank !! She was embarrassed,

but hey, 20 bucks is 20 bucks !! LOL ! 8^)

HEY GUYS I HAVE HAD A DOG THAT DID THIS BUT IT WASN'T THIS MUCH MONEY

AND IT ALL CAME BACKOUT IN GOOD ENOUGH SHAPE TO EXCHANGE FOR GOOD BILLS.

Last week, I lost $46.

I turned the house upside down but

couldn't find the money anywhere. I knew I had placed the bills on the

table when I got home, then later realized they were no longer there. I

just assumed I had absentmindedly put them someplace " weird " and that

they would eventually show up. My husband helped me search

everywhere to no avail. I was pretty upset, because we aren't rich by

any means and that was a lot of money to misplace.

Well, last night called to me from

the backyard, when he was out with the dogs and said, " Hey, I found your

$46. Well... at least some of it. "

Believe it or not, he saw part of a dollar

bill sticking out of... well, you know what. That darn dog had eaten my

money!

So, last night I spent two hours with mask

and gloves on and little sticks in hand, looking for the rest of the

money. It was terribly unpleasant but I was able to come up with 3 one

dollar bills that were pretty intact.

I washed them in a disposable cup with

disinfectant cleaner and dried them with paper towels. Needless to say,

the bigger bills (the twenties) are nowhere to be found. So now I have a

tightly sealed plastic baggy full of dollar bill scraps.

Do I have enough nerve to go to the bank

and exchange them for good bills? Will I have to explain to them why the

money is in such tough shape? I might just die of embarrassment.

Come to think of it, I wonder what my

neighbors think after watching me pick through the backyard in my gear,

carefully inspecting our dog's business.

One of my friends commented that she'd

like to see the interest on that " deposit " .

Oh my goodness! I had a dog that once ate a whole, heavy, rich

Oatmeal cake, but this story takes the cake!! Sorry, but I simply

And I have another one, ! On year we were having Thanksgiving

dinner at our place, the whole family was there! I was going from

the kitchen to the dinning room, when I found that my big, half

rotweiler had got up and was licking the ham ready to bite down and

devour it! She hadn't actually done anything more than lick it as

yet, there was no one else in the room, so I took it back into the

kitchen and scrubbed it and put it back on the table!LOL! Sorry, but

I wasn't about to waste a whole ham, the bad thing is my mom was

still alive then, and she was extremely suggestable to anything like

that, if she had know she would have probably thrown up her dinner!

I am a baaaaaaad girl!

ROTFLMAO !!!

A woman was very distraught at the fact that she had not had a

date or any sex in quite some time. She was afraid she might have

something wrong with her, so she decided to seek the medical expertise

of a sex therapist.

Her doctor recommended that she see the well known Chinese sex

therapist, Dr. Chang, so she went to see him. Upon entering the

examination room, Dr. Chang said, " OK, take off all your crose. " The

woman

did as she was told. " Now, get down and

craw reery, reery fass to odderside of room. " Again, the woman did as

she was instructed. Dr. Chang then said, " OK, now craw reery, reery fass

back to me. "

So she did. Dr.Chang shook his head slowly and said, " Your probrem vewy

bad. You haf Ed Zachary Disease. Worse case I ever see. Dat why you not

haf sex or dates. "

Worried, the woman asked anxiously, " Oh my God, Dr. Chang, what is Ed

Zachary Disease? "

Dr. Chang sighed deeply, and replied: " Ed Zachary Disease is when your

face look Ed Zachary like your butt. "

Joke of the Day

The flying turtleDeep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his front legs and crashed to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again, jumped, and fell to the ground. The turtle tried again and again while a couple of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts. Finally, the female bird turned to her mate. "Dear," she chirped, "I think it's time to tell him he's adopted." For more jokes, click Joke-Of-The-Day.com

I have been following the postings within this group for some time now. I

do not understand how things get so sidetracted and out of proportion. I have

never spoken of my symptoms that plague me. Maybe because I have felt in the

past that I can deal with ANYTHING that life throws me. I do not know that I

have been totally rationale, or if I have been in denial for many years. I

know that I look forward everyday to opening my mail box to read what you all

have to offer ( and am grateful for). Maybe I am just out of touch with the

IMPORTANT things that matter. I was working in management for a large co. when

my symptoms of fibro. began to overwhelm me. I had not yet been diagnosed

with this disease and worked until I could no longer get out of bed to get into

work. I was living on my farm, getting up at 3:am to do barn chores before I

drove into the city for work by 6:am. Where do I start and where do I end? I

have never shared my circumstances with any one for fear of being considered

weak or a complainer. I am not a sympathy seeker but my circumstances have

taken a change for the worst recently and I really feel the need to reach out

and

connect to people that can identify with my situation. Brief past history:

Lost 50% of my hearing when 7 years old, diagnosed with diabetes, high blood

pressure, many allergies, chemical sensitivities, depression, incontinence,

irritable bowl, colon polyps, cervical cancer, breast cancer, operated on for

broken right wrist, compound spiral tibia/fibia fracture of left leg, doner

bones,

pins plates to right leg, bifocal glasses that change frequently, balance

problems, confusion, short memory problems. Depressing to recall anything more.

Anyways, I have never been able to hold/carry my only granddaughter, I have

had to rely on volunteer transportation to dr's/specialists. Have done the route

of degrading company insurance Dr.s, pain management, tens machines,

acupuncture, physiotherapists the good old CPP appeals, home care when I could

not do

basic care. Got cut off because I would not allow a young uncaring woman to

bathe me. I have survived a nasty divorce where I was subjected to abuse, cut

my dog apart and slaughtered my farm animals in extremely inhumane ways. Have

lost everything that I have worked for all my life. Am now facing the

degenerative disc/siatica issue. Am now able to feed myself on good days. Have

1

child, married whose wife says I am just lazy. Am not allowed to mention fibro

or other complications. Demerol no longer controls pain. Called distress

centre once, police came and had me admitted to hospital, treated like a vagrant

by police, (will never seek help by that means again.) Have frequent

nosebleeds, difficulty shopping for basics. Takes 3 wks. to get apt. with my

dr.

Don't know where to go from here. Am angry and frustrated. Frightened and

feeling helpless. Not looking for miracles or a cure. Just some support from

someone thats been here. Have gone into debt trying anything that may help to

manage this disease. Do not be to harsh on anyone that offers suggestion that

MAY help even one of us. Do not know how I came to be afflicted with this

disease. Any help/suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. Betty

For anyone with fibromyalgia symptoms, who have not checked into the dangers

of amalgam fillings and root canals please do so. I was sick with many

symptoms of many kinds, went to 10 doctors within a 3 year period. I hurt

so bad I wanted to die.....all because of a root canal. Many don't want to

hear that their teeth could be the problem, but if the teeth are the

problem, you aren't going to get better/well trying this, that and the

other. Been there, done that. Not saying that everyone's problem is caused

by their teeth, but if you even think there might be a connection, please

check into it, it just might be the answer you are looking for. I'm not

here because I have fibromyalgia, I'm here because I used to suffer from the

symptoms of it and I wish to share what I learned the hard way with other

people.

Hi

i've found my tens machine to be helpful. it doesn't eliminate the pain

completely, but it does reduce the pain around my lower back and hip area.

it hasn't improved the tingling in my legs, but then it hasn't made it worse.

it does seem to get less effective over time. when i started using it, i

had it on power 1 out of 8, over time this has crept up to 3 out of 8, (and

no, it's not the batteries running out!). it has taken 6 months to have to

increase this much, so it's still be worth getting for this time, and

hopefully it will last me a lot longer.

i would recommend trying it.

Thereza,

My 11 has had epilepsy since the age of 3 1/2. I'm leaving for the beach in the morning but I'm here if you need me. was trying to come off one of his meds and we ended up in the ER Monday night. Take care of yourself and keep a log of her sleeping and anything unusual, include the date and time.

Prayers,

Jeanae from NC

(unknown)

I had an horrific night on Tuesday. My daughter had a seizure. She has not had one before & it was frightening. The ambulance came & took her to hospital. We stayed in casualty overnight. She was discharged late the next morning after having a Cat scan & later had a test to see if she has epilepsy. The blood tests & the cat scan were OK but we will not know the results of the epilepsy test until next week. She has been doing a lot of sleeping.

I've managed to miss 3 lots of my Gentamycin treatments. I hope it doesn't make the pseudo resistant. We're both taking things very easy at the moment.

Keep well everyone. Theresa

Very perceptive .

It behooves *everyone* to remember: *Most* partnerships of all sorts are

" NT/NT " . *NTs* have plenty enough hang-ups and problems, by themselves,

to fuel entire branches of the mental-health industry! I.e.: Marriage

Counselors, Family Counselors, Drug Counselors, etc. _ad infinitum_.

The lot!

What it works out to is: As long as one partner (business, marriage,

whatever) is dissatisfied with the other in *any* respect, there are

Inevitable Problems. That's Being Human.

AS doesn't have any kind of corner on that market!

Of course as long as AS is pathologized, ...viewed as a " disorder " ,

" illness " , ...whatever, there will be a built-in barrier to tolerance

and understanding.

It's a *difference*; no more, no less. Understanding *that*, by *both*

partners, is the _sine qua non_, the *key*, to a workable relationship.

,

In my case I found out why I felt so

inadequate trying to navigate the emotional minefield that marriage represents.

I was diagnosed AS. The inadequacies led me to use coping mechanisms

like avoidance in particular to stay on level ground. What transpired

unfortunately, was to make things worse and to punish those who I

love by avoiding them or situations where there was confrontation but also

the potential to resolve issues.

I have to take responsibility for doing

that and try to make up for many years of pain and misery that has caused

others.

My note was to illustrate that my family

background (with the AS spectrum behaviours) did not prepare me for the

emotional vicissitudes that marriage can bring. To think that I blamed

my wife when it was really me that could not see the reality of the situation

was profoundly discomforting. One of the things I need to be aware

of is that in some respects to get things back on track, that I do not

create a script that my family feels they need to follow for that to happen.

If that happens I have not learnt a thing.
