Guest guest Posted June 9, 2008 Report Share Posted June 9, 2008 Hi everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Holly, 30, and my Dad, 74, has just been diagnosed with LBD. We didn't know what we would be dealing with since we thought a lot of his changes were linked to him having a brain tumor. He underwent surgery last September to have the massive tumor removed but it turns out, the tumor wasn't the root of his problems. After a few hospital stays due to his changing condition, his neurologist mentioned the possibility of LBD in January. Three months later, he basically confirmed it. I've just moved from Sydney to Southern California with my husband to help Mom take care of Dad. I also have a Sister, 29, in NYC who helps care for Dad as well and will be moving out here shortly. In my search for information, I wasn't finding that much specifically geared towards LBD so I'm glad I've found this forum. Everything seems to be happening so fast and it's a struggle to get the right care, meds and deal with these mounting hospital bills. I'm really glad I found this place.
