Guest guest
Dears Dr. JM and group: Some time ago, I've been told by Dr. Jon Kabara (discoverer of monolaurin) not to use lipase enzymes along with Lauricidin, because Lauricidin is lipid based and this enzymes could change Lauricidin's structure. On the other hand, my son has a sensitive stomach, and I have been advised to take Lauricidin with food, to avoid stomach upset. The problem is that of one his autistic issues is an enzyme deficiency. If I don't give him a complete enzyme with his meals (at least with lipase, protease and amylase), his stools come with undigested food and diarrheic (sorry for the gross words). What could you suggest ? Do lipase enzymes turn Lauricidin completely innefective ? If any listmate knows the answer I would appreciate it, or, else if and when Dr. JM can answer me (I know how busy she must be !), I would be very grateful ! Thank you very much, in advance. Guest guest
.. did you get this answer from Dr. Kabara through email?? If so would you ask his permission to post the full message to the list please? Thank you... I would say if he feels it compromises the Lauricidin to use it with the enzymes you have to use, I'd stop giving it (rather than waste the money or cause it to have possible negative effects-if you have to use the enzymes) AND ask further if it changes the structure so that it is ineffective or just LESS effective. I'd also ask what exactly the enzymes cause to happen and how it affects the properties of the Lauricidin. Many also use the milder Monolaurin.. wonder if this is the case for it too??? Please ask him these things if not covered in your reply from him previously and let us know the response. thanks Moderator Dears Dr. JM > and group: > > > > Some time ago, I've been told by Dr. Jon Kabara (discoverer of > monolaurin) not to use lipase enzymes along with Lauricidin, because > Lauricidin is lipid based and this enzymes could change Lauricidin's > structure. > > On the other hand, my son has a sensitive stomach, and I have been > advised to take Lauricidin with food, to avoid stomach upset. Guest guest
, I've forwarded Dr. Kabara's answer to the group today, OK ? Unfortunately, there were not further details, and I didn't want to disturb him anymore, although he is very kind. Thanks, . Guest guest
Thanks ... I have written to them with numerous questions and will post that when I hear back. If there is a contraindication we do need to understand it and have their input and I expect companies/vendors to provide that and am sure they will. He is very nice and they have always been cooperative. I'll post when I get clarification from them and will post him privately if I do not hear back next week. Thanks again! Have a great week-end!
