hi lee, i'm so glad the toothache demon has been silenced.

did you bring the xrays with you to show the dentist who did the original filling and cracked your tooth?

too bad dentists don't have the same policy as the big stores........money back if not delighted!!!!!!!!!!

yes, we're counting our blessings many times over here on the island.

there was a tsunumi on the west coast of the island in 1964, i think it was, lots of damage but no loss of life.......a miracle.

Hi everyone.....here is the update re my severe toothache...well drove 4 hours to melbourne to the dental hospital as it is the only thing open till 4th jan...waited for 5 hours to be seen...after prodding and frezzing and facial xrays the dentist found that the tooth I had fixed (tiny filling mind you) was cracked all the way to the nerve...he ground off what he could, filled it and sealed it...it is still cracked down to the nerve but oh the relief at last.....still a bit sensitive but very bearable....after eating cold xmas lunch it was nice to have a warm meal and a coffee yesterday....honestly I wouldnt put anyone throught that pain for anything......well I hope everyone has a wonderful new year.. we pray for all those who have gone through that awful disaster...there is always so much tradgety this time of year.........hugs to all Lee/australia

Hi Lee, you will probably have to sign a form for the dental hospital to

send a copy or your actual xrays to your home dentist.

If they argue on the phone, just go to your home dentist and fill out a form

there, they will forward it on to the dental hospital.

If that fails just get an FOI form and fill it in and send on to dental

hospital, they must forward information on at your request.

Glad to hear you got to the ROOT of the problem , ha ha lol,

Hope you have a better new year.

Sandy

Hi Lee stay and make the most of your visit, FOI, is( freedom of

information) they are forms you fill out when you wish to have all

information you require about yourself, most doctors, dentists, xray depts

etc have them as do motor vehicle registration, insurance companies, banks

etc.

You generally can fill them out at the office you are asking for the

information, or at the place who is requesting the information from you etc.

But if you are staying in Melb, you should be able to do it all at the

dental hospital, they must have the forms.

You should only need the forms if they refuse to either give you copies of

xrays or the actual xrays.

Being a public hospital they probably will tell you they belong to them and

that you can borrow them, but they must be returned.

However the FOI, should at least make sure you have what you need to take

back with you for your own local dentist.

Hope this helps, have a fun holiday, is the rest of your family with you

there?

Must go, Happy New Year,

Sandy
