Guest guest
Mindful Movement: Comfort for the Holidays December 15th from 7:00-8:30 The holidays can be a very confusing time. We can be grateful or we can be stressed, worried, and feel alienated. It is a time when most of us struggle to feel grounded, find comfort, and stay in the present moment. This workshop will combine elements of Buddhist teachings, Mindfulness, and Dance to allow participants to explore what they need and different ways to self-soothe, ranging from breath work to playfulness. Come join us! Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Call Adrienne Glasser LCSW, R-DMT Fee $40 Location:TBD Feel free to print either flyer attached. Mindfulness, based on the Buddhist tradition, is the practice of cultivating a non-judging awareness of one's feelings, bodily sensations, and observations in the moment. This awareness can be felt internally, as well as externally during our interactions with others. The benefits of Mindful Movement are reducing anxiety and the ability to cope with intense feelings. It also can aid in creating and maintaining boundaries, increasing assertiveness and self-esteem, and enhancing your ability to connect with others.
