Guest guest
Wow...great info.. Thanks Ludwig wrote: Again, I thought some of you might want to check this out as toxins are in a lot of sunscreen products and you are probably trying to avoid that like I am. I posted earlier this year about California Baby for Super Sensitive Skin and we are still using that with good results. It was pretty good on this testing list and our doctor recommended it for kids with allergies to lotions. I got this info by excerpting it from a newsletter from Liddell, a company we use for some other stuff. It's a sad day when I have to check every product out that we use .... =========== Environmental Working Group <http://www.ewg.org/> , has just finished scientific testing of 783 sunscreens. The results: 84% of these sunscreens offer inadequate protection from the sun, or contain ingredients with significant safety concerns. Find out what's safest and most effective for you, and especially for your kids' delicate skin. Click here <http://www.liddell.net/ bestsunscreen.asp> to see a list of the best 123 sunscreens that offer very good sun protection, with ingredients that present minimal health risks. Then go have fun in the sun! Note: I was very surprised to learn that brands I trust made some sunscreens that were on the best list and some that were on the worst (most toxic) list. So, choosing by brand can be risky. Please look for your exact sunscreen on the searchable data base (see below). For a list of the worst sunscreens, Click here <http:// www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php? sunscreens=1 & worst=1 & order=webscore+DESC> . Guest guest
Another person on another list commented that CA Baby has nanos. I have to check that out but since I'm stocked up and it doesn't make my son crazy with allergies, I will have to use it unless we get ahead a little and I can order something else that our doctor checks the ingredients on. She is an expert at muscle testing, never wrong, so I have will have to ask her about the nanos, too. I don't like the idea of more stuff going into my son as we try to detox. And yesterday we found out our water has manganese in it, which is poisonous. Luckily we filter every drop of drinking water through a 5- stage water filter under the sink, but now we need a whole house filter. But EWG always has good information and that is the point, not what I've used, but what I can get good information on. I am really tired of all this, and I could just scream about our water, but now I will be researching a whole new subject .... Whatever happened to just living your life and taking clean air/water/ food for granted, like when I was a kid?
Guest guest
I just discovered Arbonne. They have a baby skin care line, which includes shampoo and body wash, diaper cream, lotion, and SUNSCREEN! My son broke out/reacted to every other product we tried. Since I love it, I signed up to be an " independent consultant " so I can get it for you at a 35% discount (+tax and shipping) if you're interested. You can find the product ingredients (all natural/ botanical) online at arbonne.com.
Guest guest
http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/wordsearch.php?query=arbonne I checked Arbonne on the website posted earlier and found that some of their products are in the high moderate hazard category. I didn't see the info for the sunscreen. Do you have extra info on that? At 09:04 AM 7/11/2007, you wrote: >I just discovered Arbonne. Guest guest
I checked online, and although it does state that the sunscreen is NOT gluten free, I had trouble locating the source of gluten in the ingredients list. Can someone take a look via the link, and let me know which ingredient is gluten. We're probably missing it alot! I double checked the ewg.org site, and yes some products are in the moderate category, and many are also in the low category. None are in the high category. I also didn't see their sunscreen mentioned there. I do know that we were to the point of not putting any sunscreen on our little guy because of serious skin irritation with every product we tried. We're having no adverse effects with the arbonne sunscreen. http://www.arbonnemarketing.com/PK/dl/pk/849.pdf
