Guest guest
Also my cfids doc told me pwc shouldn't take it. It'll thro us into a tizzy. He but me on robaxin instead.... Hugs Sharon Flexeril Theresa, be careful if you are using Flexeril, hon. It is notorious for causing liver disease with constant use (should be taken no more than 3 weeks), and doctors really don't make sure their patients don't have thyroid problems before prescribing it. Also, it is very bad to be on this when using high blood pressure meds (I found that out the hard way). Here is some info you should be aware of if you are (considering) taking it: http://www.healthsqr.com/newrx/FLE1179.HTM I don't know much about Ultram, but here is some info: http://www.healthsqr.com/newrx/ULT1467.HTM {{{Gentle Hugs}}} Doni-Marie _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Robaxin is also a muscle relaxer. It comes in 500mg. and 750mg. It does help. I take it trice a day along with cellebrex. Cellebrex is an antii-inflammatory that isn't as hard on your stomach. Vioxx and cellebrex work differantly that the old antiinflamatories. Its suppose to be much easier on your stomach...Some of the older drugs made me feel much worse with my cfids. I hope I didn't confuse ya!! Guest guest
Thats why we should be so careful with meds. I've heard that also people with this DD have to take very small doses of meds or some can't take any at all. Always be careful; as we've all learned the hard way!! Good to hear from ya scott!! Hugs Sharon a good example of how screwed up our body chemistries are and how the exact same meds work on one but do nothing for someone eles. i've had the extra strength robaxin. it does nothing for me. i've been on the flexeril for years. it provides some relief. my dr loaded me up with free samples of vioxx. i can't take them. every time i have, i have ended up almost in the fetal position, i.e., major stomach pain all day long. i don't think there's any one med that works the same on any 2 of us! Guest guest
That should be 50 mg of Trazodone. I take 20 mg flexeril twice a day, as well as 75 mg of diclofenac twice a day, and 5 mg of trazodone at night. This makes it so that I can hold down a job,(pet groomer). I would not be getting out of bed without them. Lex . Use this link to look up meds before you take them. Be sure they don't interact with something you are already taking. http://www.rxlist.com/ Mood change is listed as a possible side effect for Flexeril, but sure would not have guessed it could be that bad. I take Paxil and for me, it's ideal. I have Seritonin Reuptake pretty bad (due to extremely severe Fibro), so signals weren't getting from my brain to my body. This corrects that. Only take it at night. Have for over 6 years. No problems, but I do pay attention to whether it needs to be increased or decreased a little and do that myself. Also promised my doc that if I feel " weird " I'll tell hubby, or if I am by myself, I will let someone in doc's office know. That way someone can check back with me to make sure all is well. I'd suggest this to anyone on this type of meds. For Fibros with these symptoms - anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive, and procrastination, an SSRI med can be great. Not all Fibros have those symptoms, but for those of us who do, they seem to come in a cluster. If you have one of them, you have the others, too. Anne Re: Re: New here I'm glad Flexeril work for you but let me caution any of you that have not tried it yet. I took it and it immediately made me very suicidal. I was not told that this was a possible side effect and once I took it the second time and again felt overwhelmingly suicidal I realized it was the meds so I asked the doc and he confirmed it, so just be warned and take notice of any dark feelings or thoughts. It may not effect anyone else that way but it is better to be warned ahead of time. I wish I had been, it would have saved me a lot of heartache. Donna Both Flexeril and Xanax are good for fibro. I still take the Flexeril. It helps with the morning achiness you wake up with. Good luck.
Guest guest
I guess different drugs work different on different people because Flexeril does absolutely nothing for me. I take Skelaxin and that seems to help my muscles. I take that along with Topamax for headaches and Cymbalta. The combination seem to work for me. I take Fiorocet for pain as needed. -- L Stellato Romance Enhancement Advisor My Work Is Your Pleasure Make $50-$150 an hour www.slumberpartiesbymichellelynn.com michelle.stellato@...
