Lovely to hear from you Bunny, yes it's unusual to get snow in London

but it's freezing. I'd love a bit of heat and humidity right now. The

new asthma drug is called Seretide Accuhaler 500, (Advair diskus in

USA) sometimes known as Flixotide too. It is nothing short of a miracle

drug! This time last week I was back from the Brompton feeling really

depressed because they said they didn't know if I was ever going to get

better. Tonight we had a celebration meal of steak with champagne

because this is the first day I have not taken steroids for 3 months.

The inhaler is a steroid too but far less harmful. One thing I am

still suffering from and could do with some feedback from anyone in the

group is I still have this strange pain running along the whole sternum

area and in my ribs. Not one doctor I've asked has been able to tell me

what this is, my guess is it is linked with the constant coughing up. I

f anyone has any clues about this I'd love to know?

Love to everyone -June

Hi June, so glad to hear you so cheerful.

Seretide is great for many , the 2 old chaps I care for are on it, most in my MH group are on it too, I am unable to take it.

It is known by 2-3 names.

That pain I think you will find comes from a combination of things, coughing is ione, scarring another, slight infection, and a little pleurosy all combined, nothig that will just go.

Need to keep warmth in the area, take warm foods and drinks and keep up great breathing techs, that all go to ease the constant pain, constant strain too.

Now if you can keep away from the SMOKE, even SMOKE FREE areas, and go to salt water swimming pool you will truly be a new lady.

Keep up nice hair colour, amonia free, a bit of make up( if you so desire). and eat and drink well, swim in the salt water pool, smoke free TOTALLY. we will have a healthy June posting great happiness regularly.

Well done, keep up the good work, and do concerntrate on SmOKE FREE TOTAL, and Salt water pool and excersise,( whatever you can with breathing techs.

LOads of hugs,

Sandy.

Keep up with the good herbals, and juices, cannot go wrong there.

Plenty of good fluids, ginger tea, etc, chammomile, peppermint teas etc.

Sandy

Hi again June, will post more this evening, re supplements, now you maybe able to really live, just may have to change your disco stuff to suit, a big ask, but better than ever getting so ill ever again, Sandy

Happy in London

Good morning from London, it's snowing and freezing but I'm so happy, for the first time in 3 months I feel better. My new drug is working, my asthma is improving by the day, this drug costs a fortune (British National health pay). I just hope they will go on giving it to me otherwise we will have to pay because this is the only one that has worked. When you have been so desperately ill, as I have, little things mean so much. Yesterday i was happy because I could have a bath when I got up instead of straight on a nebuliser, I could taste food and even smell a little, I wore a bra for the first time in 3 months as my rib pain has eased a little. I could walk in the snow without gasping for breath. I looked in a mirror and realised how much I've given up on beauty routines etc, so today I've put under eye cream to start tackling my panda eyes! Maybe being ill makes you look at life with new eyes, I feel like a kid on Xmas morning, everything seems so much nicer. Just praying I don't come crashing down again and my blood count is still a concern. Now I'm going to eat well, lots of healthy food, sleep (8 hours last night hooray) a little exercise but no swimming, and concentrate on getting some sort of health back. Sandy any advice on supplements to take, I'm now taking Magnesium, fish oil and that's it. Doing lots of fresh tropical fruit and veg, trying to reduce my choccie craving. Oh yes and took last steroid tablet yesterday, today will be a big test to see if I can manage without them after 3 months?? Once again I don't know how I would have got through this hell without everyone on this group, thanks for being there everyoneMuch love to everyone June
