Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Just a quickie to say that I arrived home from hospital on Monday, and feeling much better. My hospital stay was much easier in the private hospital. I had a double room to myself for most of the time, which was quite a luxury!! I was looked after by my specialist and things went fairly smoothly. I had IV meropenam and ceftazidime which combine well against the dreaded pseudo. I still have some whopping bruises as a memento of my visit .. from missed attempts to put the canula in .. but overall things went very well. , I kept "imagining" I was in a 5 star hotel, being waited upon (tee hee)! It was just a shame I was looking out onto grey walls, rather than the ocean (lol)! I have been reading the emails and trying to catch up. , thanks for the good wishes. I hope you will also feel much better after your IV's. Sorry to hear that your saga is continuing in getting listed for new lungs .. good luck and keep trying .. you will get there. June, are you okay? I hope things are looking up, I have been thinking of you. Thanks to , Cheryl, Theresa, Del and those who posted nice messages of support. I look forward to catching up with you all again, and meeting the new members. Love Bunny
Guest guest
Bunny welcome back, glad your hospital visit is over, sounds like you had a good rest though. Know what you mean about the bruises, last time I had a drip in my hand I was black and blue, the consultant who saw me afterwards commented and asked if his medical staff did that. Told him not to worry I bruise very easily when I am on steroids. Got lots of pretty purple bruises from all the blood tests and skin prick tests done last week but at least I know more about why I've been so ill. Lots of love June > Hi Everyone, > > Just a quickie to say that I arrived home from hospital on Monday, > and feeling much better. > My hospital stay was much easier in the private hospital. Guest guest
Glad to hear from you Bunny. Sounds like your hospital visit went well except for the bruising. I tend to be like that too – it’s not nice, but unfortunately, for some of us, it’s part of the whole deal. One of my veins is still a bit tender from the aborted bungs at Easter. I have a transfusion Monday, and I’m going to make sure they don’t use that one again for awhile. I stopped them using it last time too. Take it easy Bunny, and get all the rest you can. Good luck with your transfusion on Monday, I didn't realise that you had to to go into hospital for the day, I always imagined you had this done at home. I hope you feel tons better afterwards.
