Morton IMDSA NewsLetter Editor Subject: American Idol To: " imdsa " <mosaicds > Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 3:58 AM Â I don't know if anyone else saw American Idol tonight, but there was a 16 year girl on there that had 4 brothers with DS. Her name is Maddie, they took a crew out to her home to shine some light DS. It was nice, but Maddie's message made my hair stand up on my arms. She said that she wish that the world would see in color like they do! ...Love it!! ~ mom to Adde
Guest guest
Maddie goes to school with my kids. She is a junior, my twins are sophmores and my son a senior. My daughter just interviewed her for the yearbook.  Maddie is an amazing person. The whole school is just beyond excited for her.  Another friend from school, Payne, won an award a few years back for an essay that she wrote on her personal hero, her uncle with Down Syndrome.  Another amazing fact about this high school is that several years ago the kids voted a sweet girl named thier homecoming queen. has Down Syndrome. PS...so sorry I've been out of it lately and havent written or commented on any of our posts. Been completely out of touch dealing with family issues. No excuse, we are all so busy  Sandy mom to Kaylee 4 yrs mds, 17 and and 15 yrs Subject: American Idol To: " imdsa " <mosaicds > Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 10:58 PM  I don't know if anyone else saw American Idol tonight, but there was a 16 year girl on there that had 4 brothers with DS. Guest guest
The link to the American Idol you-tube is American Idol - Boston Auditions Episode 1 Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_s-F8jlWNE - if it does not come across as a link, cut and paste it into your browser. you have to watch a really horrible audition first but Maddie comes on about minute 3 and is the rest of the clip. Guest guest
Ha ha! Sorry Kristy, didnt mean to appear to be jumping on the bandwagon  It is so exciting to see families like this on television. It really brings tears to my eyes to see and hear about other families who appreciate and love thier children so much. I've watched her interview over and over on the Am Idol website. The way that she is helping so many people see how beautiful her brothers are, the awareness she is bringing to the subject, is just priceless.  By the way, I never got to thank you for all of your hard work building IMDSA all of these years. I " ve been thinking about you and wanting to thank you. I'm sorry its taken so long.  Sandy From: brandy hellard <the4hellards@ yahoo.com> Subject: American Idol To: " imdsa " <mosaicds@yahoogrou p s.com> Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 10:58 PM  I don't know if anyone else saw American Idol tonight, but there was a 16 year girl on there that had 4 brothers with DS.
