Guest guest
Hi there, I am pretty new to this group myself. My daughter has MDS, she is 2 weeks and 1 day old today! My name is Tacia and my daughter's name is Olivia. Sounds like our daughters are close in age, which is nice because we can both learn about this together. So far the people in this group have been very welcoming and supportive. Welcome to the group! Please let us know more about you and your little girl! Tacia juptrgrl@... Guest guest
Welcome Triciai, My daughter also spends a lot of time at CHOP, we live in Elverson, PA Chester County (between 299 and 312 on the turnpike) The best advice I can give you is wait until he/she is born and then have the testing redone. He/She may not have MDS, he/she may, has no features of DS but she is slightly delayed. That being said she is fully included in a " regular " 5th grade, she does get learning support, but so do others in her class. I know it is hard, but enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and wait to see what the outcome is. It is hard, because when you are preganant you are already planning their future, where they are going to go to college, type of person they are going to marry, how many children they may have.... All of these things are still possible - Do I see going to college? Yes - but not necessarily away from home. Do I see getting married? Yes, I hope she finds a nice boy who loves her for the giving, loving person she is. Do I see having children? Yes, I hope so - she desperately wants to be a mommy (BUT I told her she MUST be married first) Darlene - Mom to (14) and (12 tomorrow!) > > > Hi all - > My name is Triciai and I am currently 24 weeks pregnant with our third > child and via prenatal testing have found out the baby has mDs.
