Guest guest
Pain and our rights to pain relief. There seem to be a lot of doctors out there who are clueless and therefore won't prescribe narcotic pain medications (even if they are the only thing that works). Those of us with fibro and other illnesses have a right to not be in pain. We have a right to live a normal or somewhat normal life without pain and if that life includes pain medication then whose to deny us. I think a few people makeing these laws and scaring doctors need to have what we have and experience first hand the pain we go through then maybe they will understand. There are mornings that when I wake up it takes every ounce of strength I have just to get out of bed and then I walk around like a 90 year old lady for a while until the pain goes down. I'm lucky I have a doctor that does take care of the pain but I did have to sign a pain contract fine by me as long as he takes care of the pain. When I was last admitted to a hospital they flat out told me I had the right to ask for pain medication and I had the right to have my pain relieved. Guess what they made sure that I was in no pain while I was there. So screw the government and the doctors that are afraid to treat patients. Those types of doctors are not following the oath they took to become doctors. They are doing us all kinds of harm by letting us live with pain. We have a right to life and to a life without pain. lyriczada
