Aliza, I will echo what Shari posted and encourage you to make an

appointment at Thoughtful House in Austin (www.thoughtfulhouse.org)

They have many patients who come from out-of-town, so they are used to

dealing with this.

Our former DAN! doctor used an Amino Acid Analysis (Plasma) from Genova

Diagnostics (http://www.gdx.net/home/). (I think Dr. JM uses another

lab.) Once the results were back, they were used to develop a special

compounded formula that comes in powder form. You can mix it with

juice, etc. It is relatively tasteless, and my kids take it easily.

Our insurance company was paying for this because it was a prescription,

rather than an over-the-counter preparation.
