I had both ob/gyn's taking care of me and we didn't even know my son had mDs at

the time. Is that not possible to retain her services for the routine care and

check in with the neonatologist when necessary. Just a thought.

Sent from 's iPhone

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know we went to our first

cardiology appointment during the week and everything with the baby's heart

seems to be OK. Although the cardiologist is going to re-check in a month since

I am currently 23 weeks pregnant only and he wants to make sure the baby grows

more and is in better position inside me to give the 100% cleareance with heart

issues. So keep your fingers crossed please!

In other hand, my OB will transfer me with a new OB in Loma so I can

deliver the baby in that hospital since they have the big NCU and she wants to

make sure any complications at birth are taken care of easily and for the best

of interest on the baby's health which I agree on, but unfortunatelly that

means my OB will not be assisting me anymore and I feel comfortable with her. oh

well... everything for the baby, Loma is over an hour away drive from home

so hopefully I can be c-section scheduled to make it easier. we'll see!

Thank you so much for your advices, welcome to the new members and best of luck

to all!

Gaby C.

Hi Gaby.

Congratulations on your coming little girl!

I guarantee that none of us had heard of MDS before we got the diagnosis, so

you're in good company.

I'm glad you found this group - I know that I found them very supportive when my

wife and I were in your situation 2 years ago. Sorry we don't have many answers

to your questions... the uncertainty is frustrating. Once Sofia was born, all

the questions and worries faded away. Sure there are (and will be) challenges,

but being around her is so much fun that the unknown doesn't weigh on us at all

anymore. You are at the toughest point right now, and it seems that you're

holding up well.

taking all notes possible to ask my docs as soon as next appointments come

(early May) they already adviced to get electro cardiograms done for the baby

around my 22nd week and I'll ask about any other check ups we need to get done

for the sake of this little girl.

strenghten our love and faith. We believe that God has a purpose for everything

and everybody and we'll find day by day what is that He wants us to do out of

all this. We believe he can still operate miracles impossible for us to do and

imagine, but also that if He wants us to go through this test, He will also

enlight us to do the best to represent him as parents of this little angel.
