Guest guest
As a few of you know...I have been having slight cholangitis symptoms for about a month. (Two weeks before my mother passed away), I didn't want to go to the hospital then, because I wanted to take care of her... Well, it had gotten worse. At some points my temp was past 100 (my normal is 96), but..besides not being able to eat, I thought I was doing pretty good. Today though..I started (sorry that this is disgusting) having Bowel movements that were nothing but bile. My temp was a little elevated but, not much...and I have lost a little over 20 pounds in the past two weeks. Using the same scale that I used yesterday, I weighed myself tonight...(24 hours later, and after eating), and I lost a little over 2 pounds! I called my Dr's answering service, to see what I should do about all of this. My Dr wasn't on call, but an associate was. This associate is one that I went to about 8 years ago..but stopped seeing. (His office, and my Dr's office merged). While I was describing my symptoms, he cut me off..and told me that if I had been having some of the symptoms for two weeks, then I could wait until monday to call the office. I asked him when my Dr. would be back, and he said monday... I told him that I would just talk to my Dr...because he MY DR. knows what he's talking about. I am SO upset! I love my Dr. but,..what am I going to do if I get really sick and my Dr isn't on call? The Dr. that I did speak to is only a GI. My Dr is a GI with specialty in liver diseases. I don't want to go to the ER, because then they would just call the same Dr. that I spoke to..and my Dr's appt. isn't until the 18th. I'm just wondering if I can wait that long. Sorry that this e-mail is so long, but I'm just so frustrated. Love,
