Guest guest
Hello everyone! I know most people are gearing up for the conference. We won't be making it this year, but hope to make the next one! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced excessive mouthing with their children who have Mds? My daughter is just over 2 1/2 yrs old. She puts everything in her mouth. We took away her pacifier 3 months ago (which she doesn't seem to miss too much). She still mentions it (only because her 1 yr old brother still uses one). She is now into putting her shirts in her mouth. Not toys, but her shirts and occasionally her blankie. I look at my 13 month old and he doesn't put things in his mouth (unless he's teething), and I remember she would still put things in her mouth at his age. She does have some sensory problems that we are addressing. I just thought I'd throw it out there - if anyone else has experienced this and what you did. Her shirts are soaked and I have to change them frequently. Aside from telling her to take it out, I have no idea where to begin to address this. Thanks, Sonya
