Who/What is included in this stat. I'm assuming ADD, ADHD, but are we

also counting the alarming increase in asthma, allergies, and what

other " labels/maladies are included in the 1/6.

The ST in our school dist has 60 students/500 - between 2 elem schools,

8 of those dx ASD (1/60 ASD). My son will not qualify ASD (he's

responding to biomeds), so will go uncounted. Parents need to know so

they can stand up and speak with confidence. Shouldn't this be PUBLIC

KNOWLEDGE TOO?

I do not believe the one in six includes diabetes and

asthma; my understanding is that it is developmental

delay (of course the whole autism spectrum), ADD,

ADHD, behavioral problems, learning disorders. Dr. JM
