---Hi and welcome to the group! I am so sorry they have been unable

to pinpoint your diagnosis. The unknowing can cause more pain. I

dont know about narcotic laws where you are, but here in Colorado our

primary doc can prescribe narcotics, it is just that they dont want

to for long term patients.

I have had 6 surgeries on my right knee and have arthritis in both. I

finally got my primary doc to refer me to a pain doc for

a " consultation " . It ended up that the pain doc agreed to treat me

long term and I have been with him ever since. I would reccommend

you try and get some kind of referral to a pain doc who is willing to

give you the narcotics you need. Be careful though, you dont want

your primary doc to think you are a " drug seeker " . Then that will

follow you wherever you go.

Sorry I wasnt more help. Take care of yourself and keep posting!

gentle hugs

Thanks for the reply. I have an appointment with a pain clinic August

14th and I'm hoping they'll be willing to prescribe something

stronger. I just would like a diagnosis of something. I'm afraid

it's all in my head but the pain sure feels like it's all in my stomach!

My husband and I went to a bed and breakfast this past weekend and I'm

wiped out from it. It was very relaxing but I still had a lot of pain

once we got home. I guess I'm not used to going out anymore. We did

some sightseeing and now I'm just completely wiped out.

Sorry about your surgeries. I hope something works for you and you're

not in pain everyday. It really changes the way you look at the

world, doesn't it?
