Guest guest
Hello Starr and welcome to the group. My name is Lianne and I am 41 and have just been diagnosed with FM in May of this year. I noticed that you said that you have found your true love, well, let him see you for the person you are now and if he can accept you for who you are now, then thank your lucky stars because some men can not accept what we go through and do not know how to deal with us always being in pain and that causes more stress than anything. I know you want your old self back, but just try to learn how to accept the things you can do now and do not over do it. I look forward to reading some of your post and getting to know you better. hugs, Lianne STARR wrote: Hi Everyone, I just wanted to say hi and I am so happy I found this board. I just turned 25yrs old and have been suffering from FM since I was 20. This past 5 yrs have been hard but it didnt start to get real bad untill 2002. I am sad because I want my life back, I am so young and have my hole life ahead of me and it is hard for me because I finally found my true love and I want to be my old self again. I was such an outgoing person, loved making people happy. I was modeling and thought I had this great life ahead of me but after being in two bad car accidents I feel 80! I hope I dont sound so pity on myself I am just sad and want to get better! Thanks so much, STARR 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone.
