abdominal bloating - anyone experience this?

Hello,

My Dad has prostate CA with bone mets - diagnosed about 5 months ago.

He began Lupron injections in Nov. (with Flutamide x 10 days) and has

been getting the Lupron 3-month shots since then. His PSA went from 20

at diagnosis to 1.

Over the past month, he has experienced abdominal bloating - enough to

make his pants too tight to be comfortable. He has taken Metamucil for

a few years due to constipation and thought it was related to this but

no trial changes in the Metamucil are helping.

Has anyone else experienced abdominal bloating like this? I thought if

the PSA dropped so significantly, that the disease was somewhat

controlled, so I don't understand how the bloating could be due to the

cancer. He doesn't see his doctor for another 2 months and plans to

wait it out until then.
