The thing that I have always enjoyed and been proud of with this list is the sense of family and goodwill here. Its been a long time since I thought of this list as a list for information, although we receive plenty! For a long time it has been very clear for me that this is actually an online support group. I think that the birthdays are a nice touch, and I am constantly amazed by how much work Jill puts in to this list. Thankyou Jill. I wouldn't like to see anything changed. I am sorry for the members who find the mail level excessive, but that is the nature of this list. I know that people have had to unsubscribe in the past due to the volume of mail, but what that means is that we have built up a population of people who want the list the way it is, and have stayed because of what it is. To change that would be very unfair to them. I thought the point of announcing the birthdays at the beginning of the week was fair, so as not to miss people...however, if they are loaded into the calendar, people who only get on every few days can check the calendar regularly and make a note of who's coming up. This list is such a relief to me...from listening to my family say 'You should just let Allie do what she wants, she seems fine' and from putting up with the nastiness that appears on other lists and never rears its ugly head here.
