Guest guest
Greetings to all.... I am 53, and have been a trucker for 20 years, at least. During all that time, I have logged in about 2 million miles, and I have NEVER recieved a ticket, or been in an accident. Nowadays, you cannot be a " dummy " , and expect to be sucessfull as a trucker. A State Trooper only has to know the law in his own state...a trucker has to know the law in ALL states! If I wer to give you an address in a strange city you have never been in, and told you it had to be there in 3 days, could you do it? The law differs from state to state... for example, in North Carolina, if you are carrying a heavy load, and are travelling slow, it is the law that your " flashers " must be on. In Virginia, if you do that, you WILL get a ticket. (just one example) I prat that I have made a fool of myself with my warning. I DO NOT WANT it to happen: But I am afraid that it will. I have been trying to tell folks who would listen what I am about to tell you...it is not paronoia...it's just true, so please bear with me. The Trucking industry is the largest work force in the entire country. For years, the government has known this. ( I got off the phone last night with a reltive who works for Walmart, and he said Walmart only has a certain amount of fuel set by, and after that, they do not know what they will be able to do...my relative IS worried abouthis job!) Anyway, back to the subject: For years and years, one of the primary concerns of the government has been that if the trucking industry really got together, they could actually " dictate " to the government! That is WHY the late Jimmy Hoffa seems to have " disappeared " . The government was " worried " that a man like Jimmy Hoffa, who had such charisma would be ABLE to unite all the truckers! The government also knows that the quickest way to control a " populace' is to control their food source. It is a well known fact that quite a few years ago, in Brussels, a " convention " of sorts was held, with all the top leaders of various countries present, and one of the topics of concern was how to control a populace. They came to the conviction that you CAN'T control a populace, unless you know who they are! That is one of the reasons the " C.D.L came to be....(Commercial Drivers License). It WASN'T to " make safer drivers " , as we were told. It WASN'T to make sure that all drivers operated under one license. It WAS to " identify " who was a trucker. and who was not. One of the reasons for this was because there is a little known " amendment " in our " laws " that in times of " national emergency, " , the trucking industry would fall under " government jurisdiction " . This means that if you are a working trucker, you would HAVE to drive for the government, as they dictated...or face incarceration. Let me give you an example: Let'ssay, for the sake of argument that a place like " Lake Cortalaine " , Idaho, which we all know is a refuge for cults like " the Arian Nation " live, got outof hand, and uncontrollable. The quickest way to BRING them under control is to control the food source...and how do you do that? By controlling the DELIVERY of that food....which means trucks...you don't see ant trains running down main street, do you? A;so, in that " conference " they talked about Money. Did you know that every time you use your a.t.m. the bank in Brussels knows about it? It was there that the " euro dollar actually had it's beginnings.Have you noticed that every dollar over 1 dollar bill has a metal strip in it? Do you know why? You were told it it was to combat drug smuggling, at first...which is " bull " , because nowadays, drug trafficers depend on " wire transfers " for payment. THEN you were told that it was to combat counterfitting. Again, " bull " . I HAVE SEEN the " machines " that , if pointed at you, will tell the controller how much money you have on your person, or in your house, because that metal strip is picked up by sattelite! ( I have friends in the south Florida D.E. A....I grew up down there) American express ...did you know that that little blue square is actually a high tech chip....that every time the sunlight hits it, (which means " sattelite " , the card is " upgraded " , to amend your bank account. Have you looked carefully at your drivers license? You might notice that there is a " bar code " on it. That bar code contains everything about you, your credit history, your criminal history, and other pertainent information abot you, which, in MY opinion, should be kept private! All the police have to do is swipe your license in their on board computer, and they know everything about you! The best thing you could do is go to Walmart, and " accidently " drop your license on that magnetic pad,and rub it on the pad a few seconds....it will erase the information....I know first hand. I did it, and got stopped by a " traffic check " , and the officer told me my license was no good, even tho " I had just renewed it. I told him that, too, and the officer said he can't tellmy " why " , but just to take his word for it, and go get a new license! I SWEAR all I have told you id true!!! Remember when diesel fuel was so cheap? It is easier to produce,.....but gradully the price of diesal has gone up dramaticly.....there is a plan for this...'way back when, all the truckers cried out for " deregulation " . . Well, it's in the long range plans to " drive " the owner-operators out of buisness, by making it too expensive to BE one....Eventually, this country will see only two or three major trucking companies still in buisness....under government control...just like the trains, and airplanes. I am an educated man. I am NOT being " paronoid " ...I have been watching all this take place over the last many years, talked with Union Officials, friends in the D,O.T......and it scares me to see it all slowly coming to pass! Remember the terrible truck strikes of the 70's? Well, here we go again! I do not WANT to see a " truck strike " !!! It willhurt ALL of this! I am NOT a rich man...I struggle, just likethe rest of you.!But I have been told, that the first thing that will happen will be the Independants going on strike, due to fuel costs...and that's when the union will step in...and join. I have spoken with a railroad official,(the railroad actually owns J.B Hunt, did you knowthat?) who has told me that it WILL happen! I didn't mean to go on for so long...I just wanted you to know.... It can all be summed up like this: All the " instruction " we recieved in the special forces can be summed up like this: Prepare for any contingency, and overcome! My love to all of you. Please believe me....I don't want any of you to be " hurt " All my love....ken __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Ken, Thank you for the warning. Our news here in Florida is saying that the truckers are starting to refuse to drive and are trying to get a cap put on gas prices or they won't drive. I think everyone should have an emergency supply of food regardless of the possibility of strike. The proper way to stockpile food for emergency is to buy extras of the non-perishable things that you use all of the time and then rotate them. Since I live in a hurricane state, I've been getting extras every time I shop. We eat a lot of canned tuna, so I buy extra. Cans of evaporated milk can be helpful and as they get ready to expire, I'll use them. My frosted mini-wheats are my favorites, so I keep several boxes on hand. I pray this strike doesn't happen, but I can understand that if the truckers aren't making money, they won't drive. I've often thought about how much power the trucking industry has and how it could bring this country to it's knees. The gas stations have the same power. Shut down and we're paralyzed. I want to stay optimistic that none of this will happen. The news is so depressing and I'm so helpless to do anything about the devastation. a On Sep 2, 2005, at 8:54 AM, kenneth samuelsen wrote: > Greetings to all.... > I am 53, and have been a trucker for 20 > years, at least. Guest guest
a....thank you for believing in what I have said. Many years ago, in Harvard University, they did an experiment: thet put several frogs in normal temp, water, and very slowly increased the temp, unti the frogs just gradually stayed there....the end esult was the frogs just stayed there till they boiled to death. I am afraid the American people have become the same way: We have become so complacent, that we don't notice the gradual changes until it is too late! It is easy to sleep at night if we believe i the inherant goodness of man, and truly believe that there are no people who would kill us over nothing(the voice of an " old soldier, haha!) I have been trying to tell people all of what I said today, for years, and most folks have just scoffed at me. I grew up in Palm Beach County, Florida....and the Florida I grew up in just doesn't exist anymore. I am sure you know what I am talking about! Thank you, a! God Bless you, and I am grateful that you are a friend ofmine, and take me at my word! Thank you! All my love....ken a <a54@...> wrote: Ken, Thank you for the warning. Guest guest
Lynn, Our gas is 3.19 today. It never went up like it did in some other states. From what I hear it's just price gouging. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get gas to take my daughter back to the airport. Many stations were out and there were lines miles long in the ones that had gas. I think the news helped to make people understand that their panic is what is causing the shortage because they are topping off more than ever, causing the shortage. If you have a Sam's or Costco, you may have better luck since they get more gas deliveries. a On Sep 2, 2005, at 1:02 PM, Ruf-Caimi wrote: > I agree with all you have written a. Guest guest
We were able to get gas but the cost is unbelievable. I sure would like to know when the government is going to step in and stop this. I hardly take the car because of the gas situation. I don't have my own now, so Laurie lets me use her car. I worry because she needs her car for school. It is costing a lot for her to go, but I told her in the end it will be worth it all. It is funny you mentioned Sam's or Costco. Laurie is funny about her car. She only puts certain gas in it, she says it runs better that way. I just do what she ask. Hope you are okay. Lynn a wrote: > Lynn, > > Our gas is 3.19 today.
