Due to strong public interest, Insurance Commissioner Montemayor is

moving a hearing on mold coverage to a larger auditorium and planning

separate hearings in Corpus Christi and Houston.

The hearings are designed to take public testimony on the insurance coverage

for mold provided in Texas residential property policies. The initial

posting in the Texas Register scheduled one hearing for June 26 in the

Commissioner's Hearing Room at the Texas Department of Insurance. That

hearing now is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in the LBJ Library Auditorium

at 2313 Red River in Austin. Scheduling is under way for the two later

hearings.
