Guest guest
I took my mother. My DH had to work or better I wanted him to work due to me being off and we need our paychecks..lol...I wouldn't take my child no matter how mature, due to the fact this is a surgery that you really need an adult with you..I rode in a car 4 hours back home and Jana is right the highways sure can be bumpy..I used a pillow (small traveling size)to support my abdomen on the trip home and I used my pain meds too, I was groggy, but felt each dip in the pavement..See if a sister or aunt or even a friend will go with you, enjoy the Inn when you go because they will use the shuttle to take you straight from the hospital to the room in the Inn and right up to the bed for you...If I can help with any questions write..Hugs and Baby Wishes*** Lee : )
Guest guest
Yes, is right, you definitely need another adult with you. We had a 16 hour drive back home from Louisville, and I was pretty out of it from the pain meds. I slept almost the entire way home, but there were plenty of bumps that I felt! Also, we laid down the back seats of the Jeep Cherokee that we had at the time and padded it with an egg crate mattress and a sleeping bag, and I took at least 6 pillows to get comfortable. Take care! Hart EDD 30 June 2002 question-Joy I took my mother.
