Update on Status of Injectable Methotrexate 8/12/05

This information is being provided to update ACR members on the availability

of injectable methotrexate.

Bedford Laboratories has stated that their preservative free injectable

methotrexate which comes in 50mg/2ml (NDC 553-900-03110), 100mg/4ml (NDC

553-900-03210), 200mg/8ml (553-900-3310) and 250mg/10 ml (553-900-03410) are

all currently available! If you have specific questions or would like to

order you can contact Bedford Laboratories at (800) 562-4797.

Mayne Pharmaceuticals has stated that their 50mg/2ml (NDC# 617-030-35038),

which is offered in a multi-dose package (5) and their 1mg/40ml (NDC#

617-030-40841) injectable methotrexate with preservative is now available

for direct purchase! All products are now being distributed with US labels.

American Pharmaceutical Partners (APP) still has all methotrexate products

on back order as they are still awaiting FDA approval for production to

begin. If you have specific questions you can contact APP at (888) 391-6300.
