Guest guest
Could someone translate this for me... it was attached to my lab work from two weeks ago... thank you... MCH low 26.9 normal 27.0-34.0 RDW high 15.8 normal 11.0-15.0 ALT high 44 normal 4-40 Cholesterol high 214 normal 50-200 Triglycerides high 288 normal 30-200 TC/HDL RATIO high 5.9 normal 1.0-4.0 Rheumatoid Factor (IgM) Positive 15.7 IU/ml ENA: SS-B (La) antibodies Borderline Positive 24.9 Serology comments: This negative ANA means a titer of less than 40. Negative ANA and other antibody tests for extractable nuclear antigens (RNP< Sm, SS-A (Ro) and SS-B (La) rule out the diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus, subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus and mixed connective tissue disease in 90-99% of cases and active Sjogren's syndrome in about 2/3 cases. Rheumatoid factor (RF) results reported are considered positive. RF occurs in about 90% of cases with rheumatoid arthritis. In addition, RF occurs in a significant number of patients with Sjogren's syndroms. IgA RF alone also occurs in Henoch Schoenlein purpura. Such RF may also occur in other connective tissue disorders and in bacterial infections. Any help on translating this would be appreciated, right now I'm kicking myself for going to college for Journalism and not Medicine. Thanx..hope you all are having bright days. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. kerri sue __________________________________________________
Guest guest
yes we have had problems. out pediatrician will NOT sign off on any tests. these have all been urine/stool tests (gluten/caesin peptides and stool analysis) their reason being they don't know enough about them. I got our tests ordered by my personal chiropractor. we have a pediatrician check up appt this week and i don't know if i should mention the tests i had ran. i don't want to ruin our relationship that we do have and i don't want them to look at me like i have 4 heads. lol. carrie ________________________________ From: ammattson <ammattson@...> Sent: Wednesday, July 15, 2009 3:15:23 AM Subject: lab work Has anyone had difficulty getting their Dr. to sign off on the lab slips from Great Plains labs regarding the IgG food allergy panel? What have you done to get the labs accomplished? I'm not asking for myself. However, I did this so long ago, and now have several wonderful Dr.'s to call upon for testing, that I'm not sure what to advise friends, acquaintances, and relatives who tell me their Dr.'s are giving them all the standard answers as to why the tests aren't necessary. There have been several, who, having seen my son improve, have changed Dr.'s, insurance plans and just plain badgered their Dr.'s until they sign off on the tests, but I'm wondering if you all have found a way to get this from an existing Dr. without ruining the Dr./patient relationship. Thanks.
