Guest guest
Hi Dennis, So glad to hear from you. We start worrying if we don't hear from you guys. I am very worried about Larry, he loved his dogs. It so awful there, I can't imagine being stuck like that. I thank God for where I am, at least I'm safe, and have a roof over my head. A lot of OK national guards are headed that way to help out. Also, OK will be helping with emergency housing here also, along with Texas and Arkansas. Everyone is really getting together to help in all ways. Gosh, that is not good having those symptoms for that long. Do you think you have an infecton, or flaring? I'm glad you went off the Arava for now until you find out whats going on. I hope you get in to the rheumy soon, that worries me. Keep us posted on how your doing. I sure miss you not posting, so glad you did. Will keep you in my prayers, Tawny > I haven't checked in for a while, but haven't been bothered by the > hurricane. Guest guest
Dennis, Im sorry you are in so much pain, but you helped me realize I am not going crazy, or a hypochondriac. I also have pain so much and my tests will come back normal, I also have swelling and its odd but feel like I have fever a lot of the time also. It amazes me how one joint can flare sometimes and be so hot and big, my big toe joint did that, and I wondered what on earth ? I thought you had to hurt everywhere like that during a flare up. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact I'm odd, but after joining this group at least I know I'm not " that " odd and I'm also not alone going through the oddities of it all. Take care, and good luck with the Rheumy in MO ____________________________________________________ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs

Guest guest
Glad that you're safe, Dennis. About the Arava, did you take what they call a loading dose? I did when I first went on it, and that raised my liver enzymes. But my rheumy said that they don't worry until the high normals are double or triple or something. Anyway, he might or might or not tell you to resume taking it. Let us know what he says. Guest guest
I started the Arava at 1 a day for the first week, 1 twice a day for the next week, and 2 twice a day from there. That's when I stopped, during that third week, because I couldn't take that pain and nausia any more. My ALT went from 22 before, to 42 that month, and now down to 35 so far without taking it. I've noticed that median numbers change for everyone, none are right. Oh, well... Dennis Re: [ ] Having my own mini-Katrina > Glad that you're safe, Dennis.
