Guest guest Posted July 26, 2005 Report Share Posted July 26, 2005 Hello all, This is Steph in VA. My fiancee's dad has shingles. I've read about it and it is bad for people in our position. I talked to my rheumy today and he said I should avoid contact until the pox scab over, which should be about a week or 2. After that, I can have contact but probably shouldn't be too close for several weeks after, until all the visible symptoms go away. Has anyone had this experience? My health has been fairly stable so I certainly don't want to get it. Thanks so much.
