Guest guest
Hello! I had my arthritis appointment and follow up for the CT Scans today. The Doc's Office did not receive my reports. I only had a copy of the cervical. I picked it up this morning along with the ER x-rays. The other 2 CT Scans were not done at that time. The hospitals computer was down (imagine that) and they were to fax it over a.s.a.p.. I gave the doc a look at it. It really didn't say much so that was good. He replied that " why do they always say that - why do they always put follow up with MRI? " He said that he could send me for an epidural. I told him I would but, not here. I told him where and he agreed as the process here or the facility rather is not what I deem safe! The only concern really was what in the sam heck was the other CT Scans going to possibly reveal? He didn't think much. I thought Shirley was gonna lose her mind!!! She stood up and walked toward him and said, " ah - no, we need to get to the bottom of this. I want to know what in the hell is going on with her! " She told him that we tried to get information on the intracranial calcification and only came up with ALS, SLE, or a tumor. He said that he didn't know until he got the report and then agreed to call me with the results to ease my mind as thinking about a tumor could worry me senseless!!! He was ready to call it a day and then Shirley became Advocate Warrior Woman again! She was bound and determined to get answers b4 we ventured out his door. He then blew our minds by saying - " I believe that something is going on with you and that I am unable to help you and that I believe it is time to send you to a specialist who is familiar with these types of things because I don't know (R U believing this?) it is over my head. I'm going to refer you to a Neurologist if that is okay with you " I think I lost conciousness at that point!!! LOL Shirley can fill in the blanks - she was on it! I told him that I would do anything at this point! B4 walking out the door I remembered that he was going to check my hips. He did and they are way out of alignment. He popped them for now. I've seen the Neurologist here and like him! He seems very thorough and I was referred to him by my Gynecologist back when I couldn't get a referral from Dr. Celebrex! He said that outside the call he would have Dr. Siddicui look over all the tests these past years since I seen him last. A lot has changed. The closest rheumy is 100 miles away and I would imagine that the Neurologist could figure out if it is a neurological vs. rheumatic disease or something entirely different. Anyhow, I'm anxiously awaiting the visit! Hopefully it will be relatively soon! Well - thats the update so far you guys - the saga continues! Take care and I hope that today is a good day for you!!!
