Guest guest
Hey , glad to hear you are enjoying your holidays. yummy sure sounds like you have had so good food. I have never had chocolate covered chip. but I have eaten a Hershey bar with chips. LOL Happy New Year Jena ~:~Jena~:~ My Home Page My E-mail Happy New Years Hi all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. It's been nice with all the family home for the better part of the past two weeks. I'm shot, but it's been a nice Christmas. We had amost a foot of snow fall Sat. so we had a shovel party yesterday. My wife worked hard and is sore today. I get to hear her complain about body pain for a change. (I get to pamper her, life is good) I've been able to cook all though the Christmas holiday, so I've been able to cook all kinds of yummy treats for her and the boys. It's been wonderful. My knees, elbows, and back are screaming, but it'sstill been a lovely holiday. We had my wifes Mother here for Christmas also, and that was really nice. Three generations around the tree. We had a nice quit New years at home. I made a bunch of treats for us( shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, pickled herring, stuff like that), and my wife baked a nice pecan pie. I let my boys stay up and watch the ball drop. It was the first time for them both. We were all asleep my 12:30 I think. I'm going to moke chocolate covered potato chips and chocolate covered cherries with the boys this afternoon while Mother relaxes on the sofa. I hope you all have a low pain day. P.S. I tried a recipe for eggnog pancakes on Christmas from " better homes and gardens " that was really good if anyones interested. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you have had a wonderful time. Your wife is lucky, lol stop bragging, you just make all of us less fortunates jealous!! Wife care to share? lol j/k! Everything you made sounds great except the pickled herring? Fish, pickled, YUCKO! And choc covered potato chips? Never heard of that one either. lol I have never made the eggnog pancakes, but have made eggnog french toast with cinnamon, it is very yummy! Here is a very good site to get recipes from if you are interested www.allrecipes.com It's a really good site. I have some Southern Living Cookbooks. I use to collect them back in the 90's, some really great recipes in them, but now I don't use books, I use the interent. I have 4 different sites I get idea's from. Seldom do I make a recipe as written, just depends on what it is. I love to cook though. And love to eat as well. lol Have a wonderful day ! Hugs, Tommie Happy New Years Hi all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. It's been nice with all the family home for the better part of the past two weeks. I'm shot, but it's been a nice Christmas.
