Guest guest
What a night! Came back from the local grocery store this evening to find a car parked in the middle of the street in front of my home. There was a lady speaking to my son and my niece on the sidewalk. My first reaction was " what did he do now??? " . The lady approached my car and told me that a group of 4 teens stole my son's bike that was in my front driveway. I asked what way they went, and realized they couldn't have gotten too far, and decided to look for them. Sure enough, two blocks away was a group of 4 scruffy looking teens, one of which was on my son's bike. I stopped the car in the middle of the road, put the car in park and demanded the bike back. Accused the boy riding it of being a thief, and told him he'd best give me the bike now. Long story short, my youngest son was with me the whole while this was happening. After I got the bike back and we were at home, he told me he was " shocked " at how quickly I got out of the car and how fast I was able to walk up to the group of boys. My heart was racing and I was fueled by adrenaline. What a high! About 30 minutes after it was over I started to ache all over. Temporary relief only, I suppose! The bike is back, my son ID'd one of the boys, so the Police are able to investigate and speak with the parents. My kids were so impressed....and I am so surprised. Didn't know I had that much get-up- and-go in me anymore! Thanks for listening,
