Guest guest
Cortnee and Keri Sue I too was diagnosed relatively young, but I didn't have anywhere near as much on my plate as you guys did at the time. I had just graduated from college (around 22 years old) and began having problems with my one knee. It got very bad - but the orthopedist told me the usual of ice, anti-inflammatories...etc. come back and see me in 6 weeks if its not better. I had to give up driving my car because I could no longer push in the clutch (Mustang convertible - in Arizona in the late fall - i.e. - perfect convertible weather) Instead I had to drive my roommates s*$t brown Oldsmobile because it didn't have a clutch. One day, while going to the mall, I parked far a way from the entrance (the closest spot I could find because it was Christmas time). I was limping and hobbling and just moving very slowly to get some shopping done. I was moving so slowly that this sweet old man that was walking with his walker towards his car parked in a handicapped parking space - offered me his walker saying that it looked like I needed it more than he did. But now, many years later (I'm 34) I will be completing my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (many smarter, more energetic, and more able-bodied have dropped out or been kicked out of the program - yet I'm graduating) Although I have gained a great deal of weight, (I'm working on getting rid of that), I am very active, do a great deal of hiking and am finally getting my life back in order. I'd say one of the few things that would make my life better than it is right now is if I could find a decent man (I know there are decent men out there, but the available ones that I've met haven't been interested in me -- he's gotta be out there somewhere ) I know that we all have bad days, but hold out hope that things will get better - and come here to vent whenever you need to! I'm not one to post very often. Time doesn't always allow me to read the posts thoroughly and by the time I do - many others have already said what I want to say. So if you (or anyone else out there) want to talk, just email me privately either at this address or at nlmck1551@ McK - so to be leaving VA +
