Guest guest
Good morning, or evening, whatever the case may be, I believe, I may have over done it yesterday. My Physical therapist doctor told me to continue walking, and boy, did I walk yesterday! I started my journey at one PM and got home at five PM, the walk was from my house(apartment) to the Woodlawn Cemetary, and throughout the entire cemetary too. I " guestimated the distance at seven miles. I went to area's there I hadn't seen before, it was very interesting too. While walking to the Webster avenue exit, I met one of the conservators of the cemetary. He called it a park. He had been walking there daily for over forty years! He said, he noticed I was a " regular " to the park(cemetary) and wanted to show me several grave sites that may be of interest to me. One of which was the very first person interned there. She was born in Seventeen-eighty-four and died in eighteen-sixty. She was the wife of a general in the army. It was a beutiful headstone too, but was made out of marble, and most of the inscription was faded. He used a piece of paper and pencil to trace over the lettering to see what was inscribed. You may remember that trick from school. Well, that walk killed my hamstring on my right leg, and am now wearing a brace there. I also needed the brace for my balky medial meniscus too. That became sore from the walk too. I've finished my exercises for the morning, and my neck didn't bother me until after I finished them. I did notice, yesterday, when my neck hurt, all I did was two of the neck exercises and it no longer hurt for several hours! Well, time to get ready for my physical therapy session today, take care and feel better. /NY
