My doctor is also testing me for lupus...fun, right? My tumors are not neurofibromas, but lipomas (or angiolipomas as most of them have been.) The ones around my hips are deep, causing a great deal of difficulty sleeping, sitting, or walking. Heck, just about eveyrthing I want to do! Some are as large as softballs now, like the one in my left buttock which is causing sciatica. Do you have lumps anywhere else? Like the backs of your arms, ribs, abdomen?
