I give you this....a dog, any dog, knows when he/she " messed up " ....they hang their lil' doggie heads in shame, because they KNOW they are busted!.Dogs can think. therefore, because they think, they know God! And that is so cool, 'cause as anyone knows...all dogs go toHeaven *** Someday, like I do, when there is nothing going on, I'll get this sly, stupid grin, a secret grin, remembering some of the dumb, and fun things I and my dog shared...and no one else but you have those special secret memories, that will shortly give you . ,also, the loving remembrance ,mixed with seasonings of the sweet happiness you both shared....I am so sorry for your loss.... I know how it is....all my love to you..heal quickly, and leave the candle burning, because it's only a change of direction! love, ken snowdrift52003 <snowdrift52003@...> wrote: Half an hour ago, a vet came to our home and released our beloved dog from her suffering. In my view, attachment and clinging cause suffering--attachment to people, to the health we used to enjoy, to fantasies of wealth, to addictive cravings for food, etc. If something gets in the way of our strong desires, we suffer. The alternative is to simply accept the way things are. I used to have a healthy body, I do not now. I used to have a dog, that dog is gone. I can let the tears flow, feel the pain, but there is peace when I soften and let things be, just as they are. Wishing you all peace today.
