Guest guest
Greg You offer wise and timely thoughts about the challenge offered by recent ugly events. You ask if we're ready. If not now, when? If not us, who? Sometimes we have to take a deep breath and sail into the bright Abyss. Mercurius will surely guide us up and down, however far we need/ are able to(?) venture. Jung said that individuation gathers the world to itself. What we can do is perhaps help to alchemize the shared pain, confusion and 'loss of soul' of our time. All innocence has gone through the rude eruption of exposed shadow nastiness - on all sides of all fences - there's no returning to Eden. It all begins, as OF (my abbreviation for 'Old Fool', i.e. Jung) says, with 'the lie' - shadow projection. Our task, in response, is to own the demons and use their shrewd, creative energy with compassion and for the collective good. A tough ask - Answer to Job looked at what was needed - embracing divine 'wholiness' as individuals, couples, families, countries, planet Ark. Perhaps we can grope along the golden twine that leads out of the labyrinth by taking a small step at a time. But where to start? Greg, what's your angle on the end of WW2? Were lessons unlearnt then that are now repeating? Why is it that 'terror' is now the in 'ism'? Is it some sort of primal fear response to the forced eruption of shadow into consciousness? After all, it's (ironically) through this newest 'ism' that the capacity for evil in all nations is being exposed - as opposed to buying into the 'axis of evil' delusion. We must try to make some sense of it all or else we become part of the problem.
